Hopefully this World Series thing is over tonight because I have a client deadline this week and I can't spend much more time watching this ludicrous display.

Is sports a distraction to keep us from creative endeavors and from doing other things that might be productive or bring about positive change in the world? Maybe...

I guess sports does/can bring people together, and I guess it's entertainment, bit it can also be a distraction.

I watched the Milwaukee Brewers play in the World Series last night and last week. I am not a baseball person or a sports watching person. How do people who have a full time job, run a part-time business, have multiple hobbies, and other responsibilities have time to watch sports!?

Oh wait...

In music you are absolutely *not* supposed to wear the shirt of the band you are going to see play…

In sports you are absolutely *supposed* to wear the shirt of the team you are going to see play…

I don't just vote by mail... I vote by bike... at a public library!

It's like everything Republicans hate. 😂

(Missed opportunity to wear my Socialism t-shirt though.)

They also complained about new housing that will put dozens or more (hundreds?) new residents smack dab *within walking distance* (duh!) of the downtown area.

I swear, when I started learning more about urbanism it just made me more mad at the world.

According to Nextdoor Wauwatosa has "lost its vibrancy" because of... lack of parking!

Yes, let's add more personal car storage space and not focus on creating a walkable village that is safe for people to get places without a 3,000 pound steel shell separating you from everyone else.

I am constantly convinced that people who build web applications do not actually use them. The time range used to be two text fields you could easily type values into...now it's a double-slider thing that takes more time to use.

They also made it so it easily goes in 5 minute increments, which is good, if you want those... but under 10 minutes it does 1 minute increments. Sigh...

Last week it was pain in the left leg, this week it’s pain in the right arm. Exciting! Who says old people are boring?

Scrappy Hour Group Ride today... did 20+ miles with @mathias and we got to take our bikes in an elevator!

#bikeTooter #mke #Milwaukee

I made four pizzas last night… forgot to take photos of three of them. (Though two were vegan, so… not very photogenic.)

@mathias Also, should I say “ride some errands” rather than “run some errands”? Should people say they “drive some errands”?

Yesterday I had to run some errands (by bike) and only after I got home did I notice I was at 999 miles for the year. A little annoying (yes, I’m that kind of person) but at least I’ll hit 1,000 when I meet up with @mathias this morning for our Scrappy Hour group ride.

Can anyone point me to a succinct summary of information about ebikes and scooters in Montgomery County, Maryland, particularly with regard to use on-roads, on sidewalks, on trails? Licensing and registration requirements, too? Would a bike shop be the best resource?

The county gov only has safety tips and I'm not qualified to dig into the statutes.
