For those who buy anime on home video: are you aware that UK anime licensor All the Anime is currently running a sale with several interesting titles at very low prices.

Some are low by comparison to US licensor Aniplex of America (season 1 of The Promised Neverland - the only part most would care to watch - is going for under £6/ $8 US instead of $130 for the AoA release); titles that probably aren't available to be licensed in the US like Sakamoto Days, or titles which US licensors have let lapse or never managed to pick up (Emma: a Victorian Romance; Looking for Magic Doremi; Anthem of the Heart, the Genius Party anthologies, etc.). https://www.alltheanime.com if you're curious - shipping was a flat £25 for me, though who knows what tariffs will add to that

I’m pretty sure this gif is a screenshot from an older PC game called Attack Sub 688

L2B: these all apply to game design as well - I am thinking here particularly of TTRPG design, but any game involving social interaction fits

@arstechnica I’m starting to think that Kier Starmer is David Cameron in a mask. None of the invasive and free speech suppressing laws passed by the Tories in recent years have been overturned or moderated. Disgusting.

Oh, it looks like Anime Limited has managed to get the Blu-ray license for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. I'd thought the Netflix exclusivity period would be a lot more like Devilman Crybaby's 7 years, especially since there wasn't even a home video release in Japan - I wonder if CD PROJEKT RED had some influence on this situation?

The blog post also announces a prequel manga centering on Rebecca and her brother Pilar coming out serialized in a number of different languages starting today, with English releases in a collected format only via Dark Horse.

No one needs to hear from the far right. It's been heard. It's been proven wrong. They can safely be deplatformed and censored out of existence for all I care. They're just bullies and helping bullies hurt people doesn't make you enlightened; it makes you an asshole.

Mulder: What about that guy in New Jersey?
Scully: He doesn't count, he was just a fluke.
