McDonald’s USA

McDonald’s Denmark

Tell us more about how raising the minimum wage would affect the cost of hamburgers.

Also Denmark has a functioning free healthcare system.

Damn commie bastards!

A friend dumped on me a BT keyboard for tablets/phones. I tried to use it with my #LineageOS, but it's writing in Arabic or Persian. I checked my setting and I did have Persian enabled (because I wanted an Iranian friend to write their name in their script :), but I turned it off and nothing changed.

And while I am asking about #BlueTooth, I once let a friend connect to a speaker and now it appears in the BT list as "[My friend]'s [speaker model]". How do I change it back?

I'm avoiding using AI as much as possible. But I see my colleagues using it to come up with fairly well tested code, and now I feel like whatever I write is of less quality. I have my anxiety at mid level, with pills at hand. Fuck this shit.

Listening to Gomez's "78 Stone Wobble", there are these audios in Spanish by the end of the song. They seems to be from a series or movie, anyone knows which?

Yes, of course, the day AFTER I bough one.

I wonder how #OpenStreetMap would face non frontiers like in this map:

oh, somehow it only happens when trying to watch anything with freetube, how intriguing... /s

I guess I'll just do the copy link/switch to browser/new tab/paste/enter dance until FT fixes it... not the first time!

#YouTube blocked my IP. maybe because I use #FreeTube instead?

Je viens de voir des affiches de M.LePen aux affichages libres à la porte de l'école de mes'enfs. Il y a des slogans que je puisse imprimer et coller dessus? Si liés à l'éducation, tant mieux.

Seems like the #OpenStreetMap community has a lot to work here if #WaterWaysMap is going to be more complete (or more broken :) here :-P

I plan to teach my daughter programming next year or so. But she doesn't read/write English.

A few months ago I saw a talk by/about a woman in tech, where she mentioned a localizable #Programming language (will find the video later).

Meanwhile, there exist #Python modules for parsing Python code, so in theory one could localize the syntax. An extra step would be to localize the stdlib.

Now I just need 48h days w/o health impacts.

"Arrival" was the first (and only?) #SciFi movie that made me cry. I plan to watch it again soon, and I was just reading the plot in its WP page, and damn, tears are just there...

Is #Ansible importable from #Python? Has anyone tried?

We do a lot of tooling with Ansible, but sometimes we wrap it with Python code, and we have to do the equivalent of `os.system()` to use one from the other.

I hope those pants were very good thick hard denim, with hinges at the hips and knees :-P

(obviously they must have coated the slide with something slideable on?)

Instead of `man bash`, it's "man, I hate `bash`".

Can someone confidently explain why this works?

`if [[ " ${COMPLETED} " != *' mark-ready '* ]]; then`

I mean, I understand it intuitively, but while doing a code review I have to rely on intuition.
