Tonight at the Portland Thorns vs NC Courage game, TERFs in the GA supporters section wearing XXXY shirts held up transphobic banners during the second half. Supporters in the section responded by waving trans flags, and more trans flags were passed out to supporters in front of them to block out their banner. As the game progressed, brave fans took their banners as the crowd chanted "Trans Lives Matter" and "Go home, fascists go home." Members of the Rose City Riveters held up Trans Lives Matter scarves and marched up and down the aisles. The message was clear: Transphobic bullshit isn't welcome in Portland.

Eventually security arrived and escorted the group of fascists away. As they were led out of the stadium, they filmed fans who waved trans flags and middle fingers at them.

Tonight was the last home game of the regular season for the Thorns, and fascists attempted to exploit that as a chance to stir up anti-trans hate at the game. Portland resoundingly told them to go fuck themselves.

need to rant a bit.

i saw some kinda new flip-phone that actually ticked most my boxes and went "oh, cool!". and then near instantly got sketched tf out.

they had some weird system-level blacklist of what you could install. first red flag. then it was their philosophy and the pitch; it felt misguided, regressive. a lot of advertising of "go back to the past!" the past is dead. unregulated nostalgia tends towards fascism, from what I've seen. this makes me very discomforted.

and then the final nail in the coffin: I came across their ai ad, and their "non-ai" """apology""", which……obviously had ai in it. like they use ai in the video meant to backpedal from the ai ad they made. within the first 30 seconds too.

and while the ai alone is already enough to make me entirely disinterested, the fucking. obvious zero remorse? the complete disinterest in change and pretending like they have?

idc who you are that shit completely destroys any trust I have in anything you do. especially if you start making excuses like "we made the ad we could afford at the time". bullshit. literally try at all then.

and here i always thought it would be one of those interviews i gave when i was president of the socialist rifle association

one of them pointed a camera right at me so i guess when that gets played on fox news that's how im coming out to my right wing family

terfs just got escorted out of a thorns game

fun fact: as a trans person you can bestow an honorary they upon cis people who are especially based

problematic wage gap

girls in 10 years:
"so what cracked your egg?"
"i was 11 and saw this anti-trans ken paxton ad and that was the first i heard about being trans and i realized that's why i hate being a boy."

(this is a shitpost, saying that now before someone tries to engage with it seriously)

kids these days don't know the importance of intergenerational friendships and the wisdom elders can pass on. like how my 30 something drug dealer taught me at 15 that "you don't have to lie to kick it"

things are so rough that i'm reading seneca again

Computers were not a mistake.

The Internet was not a mistake.

The mistake was allowing everything to be about money and power rather than community building.

i miss when the internet was the library of alexandria and not a shopping mall
