Decided to make the most recent Feature Showcase of WindowShade Redux, Xounds Redux, and FruitMenu Redux public on YouTube.

A new feature showcase is uploaded whenever I finish a release of each software and the previous version’s feature showcase will be marked unlisted.

This way, people can subscribe to my YouTube channel and not just get a single cat video.

If anyone here is still not convinced that AI is bad for open source, I got this idiotic pull request today. It's supposed to improve performance. Even if this were any significant improvement, it would not be worth the much worse code readability. I immediately closed the pull request and blocked the user/bot. But it takes me a few moments to think and decide if it really is that idiotic or if I'm missing something. I'll never get those two minutes back. 😡

Do we really have to fight the Mainframes vs. Micros war every 25 years? Micros are up two–nil.

I started a new collaboration with someone who has already done a bunch of work. My first task might be a tough one: trying to convince them that their 100,000 particle N-body simulation was not really needed. It can been done with a single particle after taking the symmetry of the problem into account.

That Andy Yen thinks cosplaying the worst elements of Steve Jobs will make for the kind of product I want to buy makes me highly suspicious of his ability to steer the company.

I've just noticed that google maps has started to restrict which information and photos it shows if you're not signed in to a google account. Assholes.

(I mostly use @openstreetmap anyways but some businesses only publish their current hours on google maps. You're assholes too.)
