A Bungle retrospective spanning their career.

Version 1 Bungle - 1972
Legend has it George Lucas got the idea of an impossibly tall, hairy companion after visiting the UK in the early 70s.

Version 2 Bungle -1972
Starts to resemble a teddybear but the head is still detached.

Version 3 1973 – 1989
The most enduring image of Bungle. Head and neck in one piece, drawing less attention to the joins in the costume, teddybear like.

1996 Bungle
The "gritty reboot". Bungle is now an adult and runs a shop. Gone are the sparkly glass eyes of youth, the vestigial eye-holes are slightly unsettling. Has definitely "seen things".

Fuck, first Juan Atkins and now Bungle???

RIP Souljah

Prepping today's #BonkWave release while listening to a "best of fedi" playlist I put together the other day. Which isn't really "best of" as there's loads of stuff missing - it should be 10 times the length! But you get the idea...

Some old #RFF faves, some stuff that may, or may not, be #BonkWave and a few others thrown in for good measure.

A lot of props will (rightly) go to Juan Atkins as a founding father of Techno but what I most loved was when he was dropping acid sounds on electro style beats as Model 500, Cybotron and Frequency. RIP Sir you shaped my youth.

I wish I could go back in time and tel my 16year old self that later in life I would spend most of my time typing sudo apt upgrade.

Your Windows 11 PC is quietly recording what you type because of one default setting

There’s a setting in Windows 11 that has been quietly logging words it doesn’t recognize since the day you set up your PC. Everything gets saved to a file on your hard drive, and nothing about it alerts you that it’s running. Because the label doesn’t raise any flags, it stays on even after a thorough Windows privacy cleanup, while a second setting buried in another menu is actually doing something worse.

"Nothing to hide" was never really the point.

You can't tell me that Binance isn't somehow connected to Brian Badonde.

Kind of interesting the amount of links that get posted that just lead me to some Babylonian hell hole of either signing up to get had by 5368 legitimate interests or a paywall.

What happened to Archive links? :80s:

I'll take this as a positive, the article was probably shit anyway.

SSOwhat more like.

It's Halloween so please ensure you have a large amount of plastic and sugar products and be sure to hail Satan. 👹

New: Proton CEO Andy Yen just cancelled the company's 're-interviews'. Comes after our investigation

The re-interviews would have been about how workers were using AI, with the clear implication you might be fired
