Pro tip for your home maintenance fans. If your toilet is filling more slowly or has stopped filling, rather than replacing the filter mechanism right away because your know how to fix this, check to make sure there isn't a small filter (which is clogged) where the water supply connects to the filter mechanism.

Clean or remove that filter first. It's a much drier* operation and takes only minutes and usually no tools.

It won't be drier if you don't shut off the water supply first and there will be a bit of water so have a small pail and towel handy.

I was the 125th person to #vote today.

#Journaling became a big part of my mental health and self-care routine, including letter writing and trying to work on short stories. I can dictate emails and reporting letters for work just fine and I don't give a shit about not putting pen to paper but I refuse to do that for my creative endeavors as it just feels too sterile. I would love to be able to dictate creatively but it just hasn't happened for me (I will also take any suggestions on how to do this as well). The quality produced when I sit down and turn off electronic distractions is so much better.

Anyway I had my big ultrasound-guided cortisone shot on Monday and even now writing anything more than a greeting card seems to make my right hand go numb. Just wondering if any of you folks have had success with anything (different pens, exercises, stretches) or if it's really surgery or bust for me. There are a lot of big life things where rehabbing my wrist isn't ideal but at a certain point I need to look at that as well.
