I would love Fedizens in other cities and towns in Australia to please share their local TV ads from decades past; things I would never have seen in Melbourne.

Look at this pair of galahs

Stan Cash the Tin Shed Cowboy [beware the whitefella doing Indianface]
[note also the hat tip to Franco Cozzo near the end]

Pick a Part, still going strong! https://youtu.be/PsJovp3X5VQ

I challenge Melbourne to get the correct shape in the various options. Good luck.

Another Melbourne advertisement earworm

For the curious and the masochistic: https://youtu.be/hNLDaZygI3Q

Do you have the jingle from the TV ad for The Swagman Restaurant in Ferntree Gully in your head now?

“What do you think?”

“Meh, not bad; needs some work in places.” Oh my god I want this ship so much.

“You gonna make an offer?”

“Hmmmn, it’s more than i wanted to pay—I’d have to call the bank.” Shut up and take my money.

“I’ll throw in the computer…”

“I dunno is he nice?”. I wasn’t going to let her get away.

“It’s a well regarded model, I’m told.”

“Well, Let’s ask”. She, you racist cunt.

“Ask who?”

“Hello Ship, My name’s Priyanka. Would you like to fly with me?”. Pls pls sayyespls

«That would be most agreeable captain» Omg switch cooling fans to max

“If the test flight works out she might do” LETS GOOOOOOOO!

For unknown reasons, the management password for a switch I set up is not in my password manager, and all the standard default passwords ("password", "admin", "", "4"*) are being rejected. I will have to factory reset it.

* I would have set this password before "4" joined this list, but I thought I'd try anyway.
