Let’s make sure Republicans know that if they try to seat a SCOTUS justice in the next 2 months, the new Congress will attach a rider expanding the court to every bill.

Who will take up this cause? #AIPAC has destroyed its credibility with #Democrats; #JStreet seems more concerned with leveraging American power to push Israel where true friends would handle these things with the nuance and diplomacy they require.
Maybe it’s time for a new, left-of-center #Zionist program—a pro-democracy, pro-human rights, pro-Israel alliance.

About #Michigan's #HaleyStevens: I would rather she wouldn't have gone so far as to actually endorse the MAGAt candidate. But not voting for #AbdulElSayed demonstrates that she has actual principles, things she actually believes in, beyond simply winning (as opposed to, say, #ChuckSchumer, who publicly supports #Israel and also publicly supports a candidate who does not value #Jewish lives).
I was a few days ago old when I learned that in Mexico they use “$” as the symbol for pesos, which is not at all confusing.

Honestly, this election has me questioning our plans for aliyah. #Israel can’t seem to get out of its own way. If the country is doomed to become more callous, more cynical, and more religiously extreme, then it simply isn’t the right place for me. If a liberal, non-observant #Jewish #Zionist cannot be comfortable in Israel—if the country has become a nation of nationalist hawks and religious fanatics—then the entire experiment has failed.

However it works out from here—even if Eisenkot manages to pull together a shaky coalition—this was an epic failure. A plurality of the electorate voted again for the man who did nothing to prevent #October7; is a close ally of the most corrupt president in American history (while he himself seems destined to be convicted of his own corruption); has destroyed the historic partnership between Israel and American #Jews; and has turned #Israel from a consensus issue in American politics into a partisan football—a change that represents an existential threat to the Jewish state.
Israelis seem determined to lie down before the runaway train that is Bibi-ism, and I fear we will all suffer for it.
To be clear: #Netanyahu is a curse, the most dangerous Prime Minister in Israel’s history, and is personally responsible for the political rift in the United States around #Zionism and support for #Israel. The Diplomat (Keri Russell) is perhaps the best #series #streaming today. But it’s beyond annoying that we get 8-episode seasons a year apart. Viewers completely lose the thread of the plot; characters age faster than the timeline; and it truly disrupts one’s enjoyment.
It’s as though a feature film had intermissions every 20 minutes.
I will however credit #Netflix for dropping full seasons rather than dripping out weekly episodes. At least for the season we can enjoy an uninterrupted story.
Awful and so, so unnecessary. I guess we’ve decided that we’re just all going to live with our children being slaughtered by any basket case with a trivially easy to get firearm. Because #freedom.
