So; I've spent the afternoon playing with my virtual server setup at home. Along the way, I've found the need to write down a couple of interesting things I've found about how I can make my linux experience less frustrating.
So obviously, I spun up a new blog which contains at least one post on how terminal information can be passed between machines (which, despite having used linux for a long time, I literally found out today).

All I want from the next version of MacOS is one single security prompt per application. Allow the app to request all the access it needs and then give me one modal to accept/deny/etc. The security theater loop does not help anyone.

coolly, i reply "if windows was compiled with gcc, would that make it GNU?" i interrupt his response with "and work is being made on the kernel to make it more compiler-agnostic. even if you were correct, you won't be for long."

with a sickly wheeze, the last of the man's life is ejected from his body. he lies on the floor, cold and limp. i've womansplained him to death.

In these trying, modern times, many people are struggling. So here are five helpful tips for Just Fucking Staying Alive In 2025:

1. Focus on shit you yourself can control. If it's not your toilet, it's not your shit. Leave it alone.

2. You can still be a good person without being a nice person. You don't owe your oppressor kindness.

3. Block and bless. At this point you're either on the right side​ or you're beyond help. We're not wasting energy trying to train you how to be fucking decent anymore.

4. Hope is not fragile. Hope gets knocked down, picks herself back up, spits out a tooth, and throws the next punch.

5. Sleep is the free-est vacation of them all.

We spent a few minutes this morning looking for salmon at the creek from the Campbell Avenue bridge - didn’t see any, but there were a lot of people looking.
