This past week was a big flashing siren. AI-detected flaws in PHP, the code behind millions of websites, knocked government sites offline worldwide and prompted the US NSA to warn organisations to patch immediately. Major banks found unauthorized AI agents inside customer accounts, some trying to take actions customers never asked for. And Anthropic's deputy chief information security officer, Jason Clinton, warned that cyber threats will get "a lot worse before they get better."

When Alice shakes the Red Queen, she turns into a kitten. I know it's fiction, but has anyone tried this on a real queen cause we could be missing out on an easy and cute way to abolish monarchy

I'd be interested to see what people ask[0] here ... when I'm on the fringes of gatherings of artists it's always fascinating to hear what they talk about, and to hear how they work.
Boosts of both the original and this post very welcome to reach outside our bubble.

Astrology is so fascinating.
Good old Twonks.
I think if you don't have contact with "conservative" groups & communities in the US, you don't understand how many fascists we are dealing with.
Some people seem to think it's just the Proud Boys & their ilk.
They don't realize that many of the nice church ladies are also *fascists*.
Not all the fascists march in the streets or put on demonstrations. That doesn't mean they aren't cheering for deportations & all manner of violence against the people they deem a threat to their "way of life."

"Astonishingly, the private keys [for the intermediate TLS certificates] were 4, 56, 66, 115, 155, 156, 230 [and] 237."
I do want to know what happened here because if you don't know cryptography, this is like finding out someone's social security number is 2. These numbers are meant to have like 100 digits. This is as if someone shipped the little toy example calculated by hand in a Computerphile video to production
So last night before bed, I set down my earbuds case in not the normal place. I said to myself at the time "Owlbear, you're going to forget where you put that in the morning."
Then I thought "Nah, you can't lose it."
…
I continue to underestimate myself.
Possibly the most patronising reply I’ve ever received on here.
Also, who put you in charge of deciding what boosts are *for*? It flatly contradicts what most people think and do on here, including me.
You are no longer the algorithm, my friends: Boost softly because you boost on my dreams.
