Finally ‘completed’ #DRAGONSDOGMA2 #DarkArisen expansion after 66 hours on #ps5 . Not finished though. Have a questline left over, then got another new one after defeating the actual final boss.
Plus - the endgame is now repeatable. 😇
Went through a chunk of consumables in that final battle, not going to lie. I was a Fighter, my pawn a Thief. Not optimal, but anything is viable if you just want to have #fun .

Thought I’d completed #DRAGONSDOGMA2 #DarkArisen when the credits rolled.
Nope.
#capcom added extra, after that. 😂 Already have over 50 hours in the expansion and apparently not done yet.

There are two options.
1. Anthropic have successfully created an intelligent, sapient and conscious digital being, who is their property and whose uncompensated labour they knowingly rent out to their clients. This means that Anthropic executives are reprehensible slavers, and they belong in prison.
2. Anthropic are lying through their teeth and are whipping up "language models are sentient" sentiment in order to delude rubes^H^H^H^H^Hcustomers into being unable to properly assess their technology. This means that Anthropic executives are reprehensible frauds, and they belong in prison.

I have updated Linux Mint several times., e.g. from version 20 (or so) to now 22.3.
The i386 architecture is left over from the old versions. If I re-install the OS (root filesystem) instead of running an update in-place will the i386 architecture installed, again, or just the amd64 architecture ?
Of course, I always do a full backup before any updates of OS versions, so I can get back anytime. Just want to know what others have done to remove the i386 packages and architecture. I found several how-to's on the internet and did a apt-search .*i386 already.
Steam software can still require some i386 packages, but I don't have that installed. The app-images I use should work, anyway, I think

With Microsoft shutting down Publisher and apparently making it fully unusable someday very soon - I was still using it as I had access to it anyway via a family 365 subscription - I need to work out what to make posters with now.
Anyone got any suggestions? Ideally, you know, functional and reasonably simple, I don't like event making posters and I'm bad at it but I have to do it regularly. And free or at least not on a subscription.
Boosts welcome!
#DRAGONSDOGMA2 #DarkArisen is SO much fun. It’s like a whole new game!
Last night, I started a new character and went to the new land at level 15, which is supposedly 25 levels below where you need to be. Not true, once you know what you are doing.
You can sneak around and open up chests and scavenge items, and have yourself a set of gear and weapons that are better than the top-end ones in the base game within an hour.
I played it properly on my main account, and continue to do so, but tried that as an experiment. Great fun, if you don’t want to go through the base game again and you’re an idiot like me, who deleted the original save so they could start again – back when you couldn’t have multiple saves.

Finally bought a Kobo e-reader today. Been using #kobo and gradually moving my novels from KU to #KoboPlus owing to the USA / billionaire situation.
I have been reading them on my tablet with the app, but wanted something I could use less clumsily in bed, since I read a lot.
So far, the reader works well. Looking forward to working my way through my digital tbr pile in more comfort. 😂

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen is out in about 3 days. Pre-ordered it. Had to work my butt off this week to level up the new character I made around TWO YEARS AGO when they kind of abandoned the game and there was no way to replay it without deleting your save.
Not bitter at all. Nope… (may be lying). 😂
Looking forward to the expansion, but my ‘new’ save is now L45 and the deleted one was about 87. Ah well.
Ready now, even though I only have one class at max. May spend a couple of days levelling up two more I like…

I an really tired and sick of this AI stuff where handful of extremely rich folks telling rest of us that we should accept job losses due to AI, theft of all data, environmental damage, less clean water to drink, increased energy costs and inflation for the benefits of AI slop.

This should immediately end any consideration, they should be fined per tree, and barred from all construction for 5 years.

I want all computer touchers, starting with everyone in infosec, to spend an hour once a month with a 70+ yo person helping them re-login to their healthcare, banking, email, and landlord’s apps, along with the inevitable side quest of recovering their primary icloud/android account
My beloved Sylvie has bought me a copy of #DemonsSouls for my #ps5
At least I think it’s because she loves me. Possibly. Still can’t get past the first boss of world 1-1 and you’re not allowed to level up until you beat him. Ahem.
I need more practice. Very different to #eldenring but should be fun once I figure it out.
No plans to use glitches. My current playthough of Elden Ring was fun with the new Idus Knight playing it “as intended”. No OP stuff. No running for Smithing Bell Bearings. No murdering of huge sleeping dragons.
Excellent game, especially when it feels more ‘dangerous’. 😂

Israel facing water shortages caused by destruction of Gaza’s treatment plants | Israel | The Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/sep/24/israel-water-shortages-destruction-gaza-treatment-plants-pollution-sanitation-crisis
"Israel is facing weeks of water shortages after an exceptional algae bloom crippled much of its desalination capacity, in a crisis scientists say was triggered when Israeli attacks destroyed much of Gaza’s wastewater infrastructure, causing a massive discharge of untreated sewage."
I have zero sympathy
