Now only Shatner and George are left. I'm not going to lie: it would leave a bad taste in my mouth if Shatner was the last survivor. Praying that George lives long and prospers.

I am a little disappointed that

a) #HelloImAWitchAndMyCrushWantsMeToMakeALovePotion doesn’t seem to have a TV Tropes page yet, and

b) I seem to be the only one on the fedi (or at least THIS fedi) watching it.

I’m really enjoying #HelloImAWitchAndMyCrushWantsMeToMakeALovePotion this season, even if much of the drama is dependent on the two leads NOT talking to each other.

I normally hate that trope oh so much, but it’s at least well justified in this case so I can live with it.

Meanwhile, I think Harij is DEFINITELY starting to be a bit Tsun for Rose, even if he’s currently pretending to himself (which Rose, I remaind you, CANNOT do) that bringing Rose her favourite food (apples) EVERY day is purely transactional to get the love potion (which is not for him) in time…

#HelloImAWitchAndMyCrushWantsMeToMakeALovePotion

Meanwhile Rose is crushing BAD on Harij, and is NOT happy when Tien (the merchant she normally deals with) turns up instead. Of course, Harij HAS turned up as well, but can’t get to Rose’s island because Tien used the boat…

Seriously, the neighbouring king is pushing 60 and BIllaura is 16? ALL SORTS OF EWWW and YIKES…

Harij is NOT happy with the situation, calling it cruel, and I certainly can’t fault him for that.

#HelloImAWitchAndMyCrushWantsMeToMakeALovePotion

HMMMM. Princess Billaura, who is the one who ACTUALLY asked for the love potion, seems to be one of those nobles who actually does useful things. Certainly her guards respect her as such…

However, despite her obvious youth (well into creepy territory TBH), she seems to be betrothed to an old (eww) king of a neighbouring country.

So, what’s going on here?

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today.

Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.

Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too.

Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.

I am beyond proud of our school board trustee Anna-Karyna Ruszkowski on winning re-election with a crushing 2/3 of the vote.

I always tell the story that in 2017, I was picking up my toddler from daycare, and a woman approached me with a clipboard and a smile. She was collecting names in support of a new high school for French students in the east end.

"A high school?! My kid is 3!"

She explained how much of a fight it was, and how the board president at the time who lived in the west end was not listening to parents' needs. She and others pushed hard to get a new school which finally opened after that guy left his role.

Now my son is 12, and he's attending the high school Anna-Karyna got built for him. I will forever be in her debt.

The guy she beat? He’s the guy who was ignoring us.

Good job, Anna-Karyna Ruszkowski, and thank you for continuing to fight for better.

Even 4 volumes in to #TearmoonEmpire it remains the case that however viscerally Mia has internalised the NEGATIVE version of “As ye sow, so shall you reap” (because, hello, guillotine!), she has yet to comprehend that the positive version generally applies to her current behaviour. Well, she has a kind of transactional appreciation of it, sorta, but not a relationship based understanding.

As I’m sure I’ve noted before Mia is ALWAYS remembering that Anne never abandoned old-Mia in the dungeon in the days/years leading up to the guillotine and that as a result new-Mia places NO LIMIT on HER loyalty to and protection OF Anne in this timeline. Never realising what that means TO Anne of course… #TearmoonEmpire

Some context: Mia is caught out in a storm, stumbles, and is saved by her faithful maid (and confidant and friend) Anne… whilst remembering a time when something similar happened when she had been abandoned by everyone. #TearmoonEmpire

OOOF. Sometimes the serious core of #TearmoonEmpire rises to the surface: “She smiled. She felt odd doing so, considering their troubling circumstances, but it came too naturally to resist. There was a poignancy to her averted stumble. It juxtaposed her past self with her present, reminding her of what she’d been missing then… and what she had now.”

CHORTLE - a comment about Mia’s guards… “In other words, they came with a disclaimer. Satisfaction guaranteed - only when sober.”

I mean it’s not like Mia’s antics would drive a guard to drink… #ohWait #TearmoonEmpire

I sure hope the pilots' altimeter isn't as glitchy as this! 🤣

@Algot would probably enjoy this.
