It's a bloodbath in the stock market today as overpriced tech stocks sink while markets absorb the implications of Democratic wins in the midterms.

Tesla, down 11%, has lost about $150 billion in value today. YTD, it is down 25%.

happy 'market enters correction territory' day, everyone!

My prediction: Albertans suddenly decide that pretending to be cowboys is gay and burn their hats and boots in a giant wicker effigy of Talarico

Got Zelda loaded up. Pizza and wings scheduled for lunch. Calories don’t count today. It’s November 1998 and I’m living my best life

This is what @pluralistic wanted: a petition to the Canadian Parliament to repeal the anti-circumvention law. If you are eligible you really should sign this.

This is a far right grifting shitposter with almost a million followers. Poe's law requires us to consider whether they're really this fucking dumb or just making fun of people who are

Fellow USians! Want to make the Blue Wave stick? The incoming Congress will soon vote on new leadership — call your reps NOW to demand they REJECT Hakeem Jeffries as House Speaker and Chuck Schumer as Senate Majority Leader. These two have been feckless and fail to meet the urgency of the moment — the Blue Wave happened IN SPITE OF them. Demand better options (Warren, AOC, etc) who will actually fight for justice and accountability. Find your reps here: https://www.commoncause.org/find-your-representative/

It turns out  you can’t post Malfoids and Anakin when diesel is $6 a gallon and expect America to vote for you.

I love these visuals from America Heart Association and I am stealing them to talk to you again about what not to say to someone dealing with cancer! It can also be used for a different subject.

But I will always mention cancers as I went through 2 of them with 0 help and support *in person, thankfully I have you 🩷. And I may have another one/s not detected, and I am so tired of reading or hearing those sentences as I am dealing with other health issues.

Do better. If you don’t know what to say tell me that instead of telling me these kind of sentences. Or look online there are many resources about what to say or not to say!

Oh look: I was just commenting the other day how I’d noticed this subtle shift in language. Was that with you, @dyckron?

OpenAI launched a policy push to rebrand its data centers as AI compute campuses amid growing public backlash over energy grid strain, prompting criticism from environmental groups who view the name change as an empty public relations stunt.
