Incedentally, I voted. I hope you have, or will.

Look, I know that posting is not political action, but sometimes I need to post just for my own sanity.

Dear Dems, trans men are men, trans women are women. Trans people should have the same rights as other folks. You wanting to ban trans folks from sports is a mark against you in my book. Knock it off. Be better.

Any suggestions for a carrier/travel crate for a 16 lb. 13 yo. Pom mix/shark hybrid?

Bob dog is impossible.

Long story short, he just visited the sitter. He came home with a gift of a shark hoodie.

He took that as a challenge.

My dog is a genius.

(And yes… I removed it as soon as I got the picture) #dogsOfMastodon

Bob’s had a makeover! Can’t decide which version of Bob’s look I like better. Fluffy, or smooth.

(I love that he feels like velvet though.)

Paint me like one of your French dogs.

Something in the pre-op is dinging like a turn signal which leaves me with the strangest mental image of the hospital just tootling down the highway.

Also 4th surgery (quite minor) in the last 6 months, when do I get my frequent flier card, and what are the benefits?

If you are looking to spend time with animals, even if you aren’t in a place to adopt, I cannot recommend Muttville in SF or Cat Town in Oakland enough.

The staff and volunteers are very kind and helpful and you are helping the animals with a bit of socialization while you get your snuggles in.

So… the cat distribution system seems to have gotten a bit confused. After losing Livvy, I planned to adopt a pair of 2 or 3 year old cats, whoever kind of reached out to me.

About a month ago l visited Muttville Senior Dog rescue, just to pet dogs with a couple friends.

Big room, lots of people, lots of couches, lots of old dogs.

This scruffy little guy starts howling at me, and I sit with him. He buries his head in my side, for 45 minutes. Who am I to say he’s wrong?

So, instead of two young cats, I have a 12 year old tiny dog named Bob.

I lost my Livvy kitty Thursday night. I came home and she had passed. I already miss her. The house feels really empty without her. She had so much personality. She kept stealing my food and wanting to sit on my chest right up to the end. Literally totally normal Thursday morning. She was confident, demanding, a troublemaker, and just all around a great cat.

Goodbye Livvy Lou.

Amateur hour with the oil pastels. That said I still kind of like it. I know I have a lot to learn about this medium, but I don’t hate the composition or the color choices. It’s not good… But it’s not bad either.

Livvy just hung up on the vet.

she’s lying on my chest as pictured below. When I get a call from the vet.

The vet goes to check and see if the medication she needs is available, and while that’s happening. Olivia turns her head and manages to boop the phone.

One week post eye surgery and things are going cautiously well. I see the eye doctor again tomorrow vision is so clear. I forgot how bright colors were. It started to itch yesterday though which worries me a little.

I for one welcome our new Danish overlords

A quick resistance task:
1. Google Gulf of Mexico
2. “Gulf of America" is the top
3. Click on the three little dots to the right of it
4. Select "Send Feedback"
5. Click on "Gulf Of America"
6. Select "Inaccurate content"
7. Select "Incorrect" and type in "The correct name is “Gulf of Mexico"

Small victories are worth celebrating.

Today’s small victory: my company got a new publisher for its anti-harassment training. It’s not perfect, but it is so much more usable than the last version that it’s like night and day.

It’s still corporate training, but it’s corporate training that I can do and just be bored like everyone else instead of bored and frustrated. Kind of loving this moment

I think one of the worst things about inaccessibility on websites is that it feels like gaslighting. I just spent an hour putting in a request for a piece of software. I know I am pretty good with the screen reader, but things are very hard sometimes and it makes me wonder is it me or is at the website
