Remember when the U.S. kidnapped #Venezuela 's president? I think they'll do the same with #Lula too

📣This is your reminder that the fight against #ChatControl is still NOT over yet📣

Last month the negotiations for ChatControl 2.0 failed. Thanks to your support #ChatControl 2.0 and #masssurveillance don't happen🥳

However, the battle is still NOT over yet as the threat remains to keep ChatControl 1.0 as a permanent legislation beyond April 2028😡

Negotiations for this are planned to continue in November which is why we at Tuta will continue our fight ✊

@GeraintLlanfrancheta @stux No — vehicle safety rules are one thing, but blind praise for the EU ignores some truly terrible ideas coming out of Brussels:
• Chat Control (mass surveillance & breaking encryption)
• Mandatory ID verification for online gaming & the web
• Data retention, upload filters & cash limits
• Crushing bureaucracy for open source & small projects

@AkaSci @andybrwn Imagine how much safer these vehicles will be once they’re equipped with thrusters!

So Google is killing Android Freedom but can't even keep its official Play Store safe?! 😡

A fake version of #Chrome app appeared on the Google Play Store above the real one - And Google is trying to stop you know side loading apps and only use its Play Store for 'Security reasons'. THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

#Android is supposed to be open, & your phone should be yours → NOT GOOGLES.

“People don’t understand what kind of data they’re handing over,” EFF’s @evacide told @verge because Muse’s user interface is designed to encourage you to overshare. "It’s using dark patterns, and as a result you end up with Muse doing things that people don’t want.” https://www.theverge.com/tech/1011938/muse-ai-data-friends-consent

I was just "flamed" by a guy who says they had been flamed on another platform

Many people are dumb.

Sometimes i click on a link to a post on a mastodon instance and the post is opened in my browser rather than on my mastodon client. Does that mean that my instance has defederated from the other?

Looks like they are all building the same thing..

I hate life
OK, I don't, but I've been trying to make perfectly parallel lines for a personal project for over 30 minutes and they still have imperfections. I understand that it's impossible to avoid them, but with the tools I have, they should at least be hard to notice. I could see these imperfections from kilometers away!

I don't often run into these problems; maybe I should just go to sleep...

Writing here really does feel like shouting into the void btw

I'd love to have scientific equipment to try and find out the reasons behind the weird behaviors I do

I'm a native Italian speaker, but i think in english and use the latter language constantly online. A very weird thing that i've noticed is that, although I use Italian daily to speak with the people around me, using that language to think feels way harder than using English. It's as if English replaced Italian in my mind

I have disabled Google Play Services on my phone yesterday, I already had Google Play disabled but I disabled the other one only today, out of fear that Google may prevent me to install APKs from sources other than their store. The thing is, now I keep getting notifications like "Thing X won't work unless you enable Google Play Services". Does anyone know how to stop these constant notifications? Thanks

So, the workflow that ChatGPT/Claude/Whatever expect you to use it:

- ask a question to their LLM,
- Wait for this output,
- Open Wikipedia or something else and check whether the answer is correct

Why wouldn't I go to the last step to find my answer in the first place?
