Here in the UK, we're being told to stockpile water and non perishable food items and we're not being told why?

But THEY know.

Out with a friend for coffee and a catch up this morning. Third time lucky on the baked goods.

If you think that's a bit bloodchillingly draconian of me, here, have a reason why:

#WritersCoffeeClub October 27:
As a writer, what do you need right now?

A straight street—the Royal Mile will do—at least a kilometer long, with a billionaire impaled on a stake every two metres on both sides. (Don't worry, we won't run out of billionaires before we get to the end.) And complete criminalization of all commercial applications of AI. Plus the end of crapitalism as a cherry on top.

👕 😞

Yes, this will make everything better in the world.

Here's the thing I can say to younger queer folks now in case they don't know this: before the internet they told us there were ZERO others like us. ZERO. They told each and every single one of us that we were wrong and alone and didn't have stories that deserved to be told in fact had stories that could not be told at any cost.

So when they say there aren't *enough* of us now to defend our rights, to stand up for basic human rights, when they say we're too few to consider, too fringe, too little too vulnerable, too outside to consider? They're lying again, still and always.

They want queer people to feel like we're alone when we really, really, really fucking ARE and HAVE BEEN and WILL ALWAYS be here and if you feel alone because everyone around you says you are, remember they lie.

Taking a moment to remind anyone about to experience winter in the next two months that you need a first aid kit, cough syrup, saltines or protein bars, matches, candles, emergency blankets, bottled water, canned spam...

I'm sending out one final email about the closure tomorrow. It'll be targeted to the remaining 925 people who have been active in the last 30 days and haven't moved their account yet.

Apologies if this seems spammy, but I want to make sure as many people as possible know before their data disappears.

Moths are too small to have arteries or even veins. They only have caterpillaries.

The year is 2046. You buy a packet of chips. The packet is the size of a pillowcase, and inflated to seven atmospheres of pressure. It contains one chip.

If you are a Facebook refugee, we are so glad you are here! Many of us were originally Twitter refugees.

There are a lot of kind, genuine folks here, who are happy to help you connect with the people/accounts who share your interests.

Death by Chocolate implies the existence of Life with Chocolate, and brother...

A billionaire's retreat turns deadly when a father (Paul Rudd) and daughter (Jenna Ortega) kill a unicorn and try to exploit its regenerative powers.

I have been dismissed from my jury duty tomorrow! 🎉

I think I'll celebrate by watching 12 Angry Men.

Protein bars: for when you absolutely don't feel like making anything for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Out for coffee and cake because I deserve happiness
