My car needs to go on a diet 💀 #PookieAndWessie #CatsOfMastodon

Okay, so Microsoft running off with @nextcloud feels a bit like the arms industry sponsoring Woodstock, but hey, all support is welcome? Or something?

Anyway, this is obviously a logical follow-up to iBestuur, which last week, in issue 60 of 2026 on page 31 (thought I’d save everyone the page-flipping), declared Nextcloud inevitable for government in a two-pager ;)

For anyone with an iBestuur account, here’s the link to the article: https://onlinetouch.nl/ibestuur/ibestuur-60-2026/31?html=true#/31/ (With of course @Gina )

@EveHasWords @Gina Thanks for the nice words and for advocating for XWiki.
Also, what @Gina said it's true: We're hiring, and we're on the lookout for passionate people who want to contribute to building XWiki for the future.

Viva Lula! 🇧🇷

Kudos to @sfscon for valuing diversity in #FOSS 🫶

Tbh I find diversity focused activities the peak of cringe, but until we are more than 10% of a sector that we all depend on for our digital sovereignty, it remains necessary. Thanks to the @fsfe for organizing this workshop.

@btp the people need more Daphne updates. 🐶

(It's me, I'm people)

Sunday is a day of rest 😌

I say as I take out my chore list that is longer than my will to live.

I feel like I have to choose between people and good weather :(

I had such a fun time in Berlin, I already know lots of people there, but the weather is awful. Whereas Spain and Italy etc are beautiful, but I'd have to start completely over finding people.

Pookie and Wessie are back from the long term sitter and we still haven't moved to Spain or Italy or wherever. 🫠 Simply haven't had time for it yet.

Worst of all, I've seen a house in Mallorca, which feels like such a dickish move considering their housing crisis. Haven't had any luck with Italy yet.

Dutch winter is coming 😭 #PookieAndWessie

PSA for the #fosstodon people: @Gina has kept it a secret, but there's an IRC channel for Fosstodon out there! It's #fosstodon (including the hash) at Libera.chat!

Had to give away my last bottle of wine as a gift, so it better not happen tonight.

I’ll stop at nothing to give up immediately

When you close a million browser tabs at the end of a long work week.

We are pleased to organize again this year the Local First devroom at FOSDEM'27. Submit your proposals already! it is going to be an amazing day.

Reshare, boost, spread the word!

Second Bonus thought, a big thank you to the @php foundation and to all PHP's developers for their hard work. We love you guys ❤️

(4/5)
💵 PHP runs over half the Internet, including governments and multibillion-dollar corporations, yet the foundation behind it has a budget under $1m and only 13 engineers, some part-time. Despite this, they handled one of the hardest vulnerabilities in recent years with professionalism. They deserve better: if your company or government relies on PHP, consider supporting them.

I'm looking forward to discussing the role of Open Source for European Procurement and Innovation with speakers from the Open Source ecosystem and the @EUCommission! #opensource #eu #procurement

@notzed If you are seeing content on Fosstodon that you believe violates our CoC, please report the content and the team will review it. If we believe it does violate the CoC, we will take the appropriate action.

We can't actively monitor all content on Fosstodon, so reporting is needed from our users to make sure we have the chance to review potentially CoC-violating content.

#FOSDEM will not have a DEIB room 😔 True to #DIY #OpenSource spirit we will fix this ourselves.

Support @Gina @elena @RosannaSibora initial proposal for a DEIB room with the #FOSDEMPledge @janl proposes:

Take a min or 2 to discuss the need for diversity, equity, inclusivism & belonging (DEIB) in your talk or have a talk on this topic in the room you organise.

For me #FLOSS is about people. Let's make sure everyone feels welcome & enable their participation in the FLOSS ecosystem. ✊
