🇨🇦 Prediction, Carney Govt announces an agreement with Saab for fighters after the US mid terms. Kind of think you don't sign deals with a contractor for deals that aren't going to happen. https://www.saab.com/newsroom/press-releases/2026/saab-announces-key-partners-for-gripen-canada
Just learned that there's legislation in the US that prevents Medicare from negotiating prices at the launch of a new drug.
That is NOT what the market will bear. This is legislated price fixing and what amounts to corporate welfare. If anyone tells you America is about markets and free enterprise, laugh in their face.
TIL that if you register your site with Google Search Console, you can switch off a “Search generative AI” setting to tell Google not to include your site’s content in its AI overviews.
I have serious doubts about whether this •actually• excludes the site. (Do they untrain their LLM?! Will they even block your site when retraining? I severely doubt it.)
However, I’m quite sure that it sends a signal to some sad, dark business analytics corner of Google. And it’s a signal I want to send.
After MASKED THUGS tackled Ricardo Gonzalez, a U.S. citizen, in North Long Beach, California and broke his arm, residents poured out, demanded a warrant, and held agents in an hour-long standoff until two detained U.S.-citizen women were freed and Long Beach police uncuffed Gonzalez and got him medical care.

OpenLogi statt Logitech Options+
Ich habe heute zahlreiche Hinweise auf die Software OpenLogi erhalten, die das schwergewichtige Logitech Options+ ersetzt. Der überzeugende Pitch:
A native, local-first alternative to Logitech Options+, written in Rust 🦀 — remap buttons, DPI, and SmartShift over HID++. No account, no telemetry. Runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
Der Austausch der Software ging in weniger als einer Minute.

Meta hit with its BIGGEST FINE EVER → A fine bigger than some countries GDP! 🤯
A judge in New Mexico has ordered Zuck's Meta to pay $25 BILLION after a trial found it had lied to the public about how user data was handled.
This is very positive news, and it's great to see that New Mexico is holding Big Tech accountable. 💪👏

China’s AI stock bubble has already burst.
“Just like all other Chinese manufacturers, (chipmakers and AI suppliers) will eventually end up in a price war," said fund manager Wang Zhuo, partner at Shanghai Zhuozhu Investment Management.’
