I’m curious of the reason why the MCs almost always seem to sit in the far right (not a political statement) corner when viewed from the teacher’s desk.
Could be as simple as less to draw (fewer desks/people and no door), or for all I know it’s somehow the cool corner.

What do you listen to while reading? Books, manga, comics, instruction manuals, punch cards. Does not matter, but if you have some connections like Kraftwerk for CPU reference manuals or similar that’s cool extra info.
I love to listen to metal, often listing to prog or power or classic, when reading fantasy (sword and sorcery damnit!) books on dead trees.

He is correct, and this exact thing is happening with a ton of other things (US oil gets subsidies and raised prices for profit even though they produce, refine, and sell their products domestically).
Also inflation isn’t real. It’s a tool by the rich to keep the poor poor. Our costs double, theirs go up by a fraction of a percent.

Sony doing this was inevitable. Xbox is dead so what they do won’t matter. Nintendo will follow suit with a future generation (the number of digital only titles are going up). PC did it a long time ago with Steam (the de facto monopoly at this point).
We all knew this was going to happen. In some technical ways it’s not even bad. Distributing Linux distros by pressing physical media today would be seen as environmentally wasteful for example.
In many ways it is bad, due to the rent not own, monopolies (please be aware that “opening” won’t get you anything but worse stores that won’t survive and will make money by spying on you and allow any software to be sold, with zero ways to contact them), etc. You know the drill.
What I don’t see anyone speaking about is the cause behind all this. Post scarcity (in reproducing, not creating) and the capital fighting that tooth and nail (DRM, spying for more money, all the other bad things) to stop progress.
Someone already figured this out in the latter half of the 1800s. I know everyone hates politics. I think it’s because media has bombarded us with everything they can to make us tired of it. This matters, this is the cause of it. The current system isn’t tenable, it will lead to a single true monopoly at some point.
That’s my two cents. Also play whatever game you like, only one that needs to enjoy it is you.
Seeing XBox implode reminds me of something I heard blackbirdcoop say recently (as in I heard it recently).
No way I can quote it properly, but basically the U.S. decided that it was better to have low prices rather than high wages.
Gamepass was a massive failure and here we are. Not $70 games (I spend infinitely more on healthcare (already hit my out of pocket max!), housing, food, insurance (scam!), energy, etc, etc). The idea that games have little value and you can vomit spend on a service that will never reach as many as you claim.
Also gacha/live service has pooled money and there has been soooo many poor decisions in the game industry. But even amongst take, XBox and the gamepass takes the cake.
Apparently they are talking about shutting down ID Software. They are cooked.

AI is genuinely “better”, just that it obfuscates the source so it’s about as trustworthy as a Facebook post vs a scientific book/paper.
I’ll be, Cassette Beasts 2002 has been announced. I played the first one and genuinely enjoyed it. If you want an old school Pokemon-like, I can recommend it.

One of the odder things I’ve seen in an anime lately is American yellow school busses in Spy Family, in a country meant to vaguely represent East Germany and where the other vehicles feels very place and time appropriate.
There’s a decent amount of research done for the show otherwise, even if they mix up East/West details quite a bit.

I really like Kit’s takes on things. Matches up well with big corporation thinking and what actually goes on vs people with opinions. It’s usually quite boring and mundane as well. Reporting and rumors are like conspiracy theories.
