Somebody out there is DDOSing a web server I'm partially responsible for, presumably to scrape it as LLM fodder. I already blocked obvious user agents and IP ranges, but this looks like a botnet with random worldwide IP addresses. I wonder how easy it is to install Anubis?

I'm trying to make a fun little name badge, and have got as far as getting it to appear in the app store on the web, but It doesn't show up when browsing from the badge and can't be installed with CodeInstall either.
Nothing relevant on the errors page on the web app store. Badge wi-fi seems to work.

The cancellation process is one of those obnoxious ones with several "are you really absolutely definitely sure, we will miss you(r money) vewwy vewwy much" steps, culminating in having to make an actual phone call. My attitude has shifted from "I suppose I might as well cancel this and save £2 a month" to "Fuck this nonsense, I'll cancel the direct debit myself if I have to".
PSA for anyone who has a VPS with IONOS: if you try to cancel your contract, you might get offered a 75% discount for 12 months to convince you to stay.
Now, I'm planning to save 100% by continuing with cancellation, but one of you lot might find this information useful.

I have seen numerous people who sound like they know what they're talking about claim that LLM coding assistants are incredibly good now, making me wonder if I'm wrong and missing out on something revolutionary. Then something like this drops and I have to seriously consider that, actually, there are lots of people who have prestigious tech jobs and yet cannot tell the difference between competently-written code and and a barely-working unmaintainable shitball.

Tonight I am playing in the Pokerstars Sunday Million online poker tournament. This is for the first time ever, as it's about 100x my usual buy-in (I am very much a recreational-ish player who fumbles around slightly-profitably at micro stakes, and am only entering because I won a ticket as part of a promotion).
Somehow, I am... still playing after 2.5 hours, with a slightly above-average stack of chips. I'm sure this isn't supposed to happen.
