Whenever I stay in a hotel I look up the TV Hotel Mode Unlock Code, go in to the channel guide and delete GB News. It's even easier to do in an AirBnB. It's a very satisfying feeling. I recommend it.
this meme pushed me down a rabbit hole because this school in Dayton, Ohio is 100% real exactly as depicted, and the more you look into it, the worse it gets
Incredibly unsafe location. Absolute sadsack excuse for a playground. The pavement looks like it's been bombarded. The curbs are cracked, the sidewalk is choked with grass, the doors look like they go to a murder basement. Most of the pictures online are of kids doing litter pickup On The Edge Of The Fucking Freeway because all the freeway litter blows directly into their tiny schoolyard. The cafeteria photo gave me claustrophobia
I think I understand why Ohio is a swing state now. This is the cultural experience that their children are getting in what is supposed to be the wealthiest nation in the world, and no-one's fixing it

Hey
Are you a voter in MISSISSIPPI?
Did you VOTE ABSENTEE?
Are you SURE about that? COMPLETELY SURE?
A bunch of absentee votes were received, but are being held back as possibly invalid. If you got hit you can contact the state and prove it's valid but you have to act BEFORE MONDAY AT NOON

I was today years old when I realised the velociraptors in Jurassic Park were communists who seized the means of reproduction.
Back in the Before Times, when I first started developing Twisted, I had an extremely, shall we say, phenomenological approach to developer tooling. When we did our first 1.0 public release, I wrote documentation for installing it that I would test in a fresh VM with no developer tools installed, documenting every single click and shell command that needed to be run. I would do a time-and-motion study with a stopwatch, then try to eliminate unnecessary steps and re-do it.
@gsuberland did you accidentally tell someone you know how to configure sendmail
Soft censorship in iPhone autocomplete. All software is political, even your keyboard.
Clarifications as I have been getting questions
- A penguin in a zoo or other captivity is A REAL PENGUIN
- A chocolate covered biscuit is NOT A REAL PENGUIN
they sell these as kits.

beautiful
"From the start, the intention of the OSA was never actually child safety, nor fixing social media, nor taking on Big Tech. The act's main policy goal was to create a captive, lucrative market for the British safety tech sector. That includes the age verification providers whose offerings were mandated this week as technical intermediaries between all of us. It wasn't about child safety. It was about lobbying."
BREAKING: Tesla to wind down car production, refocus on vibes
On Sunday I saw multiple car-carrier trucks loaded with Deploreans heading for Pier 80 in SF. I speculated that they were being exported for recycling. Now that seems even more likely.

To put a bit of context, Dawgyg frustated with how Apple team treated his findings at their bug bounty program. So now he published all of his research.
And before you ask, yes, he is inspired by NightmareEclipse.
