selecting text often doesn't work -> if it doesn't, with most modern terminals holding Shift will allow selecting text for copying into other applications

@hisham_hm yes!!! I included that tip in the zine so many times that someone commented "uh you've said this 4 times" so I had to take it out of some pages haha

So when stuck I try first bashing on ctrl-q.
And then the <cr>~. escape for ssh.
