I still have to make sure the chip-select level of the original PROM is the same as in the FRAM, because the PROM has programmable chip-select level ^^'

In my search for a drop-in replacement ship, there was no EPROM that would fit in there. I can put an EEPROM in there but I would have to lift one pin and tie it to high (WE#). I found some FRAM that would fit but I would have to lift one pin (WE# too) and connect it to the Z80's WR pin. That should give me 32kB of FRAM. Not that bad… But I don't know if it's feasible to lift a pin on a surface-mounted package.

Am wondering… can I replace the ROM in my old TI-82 with an alternative one with stuff that''s more useful to me today

Or even FRAM if I can find a way to write to it

I kinda like the form factor but the things the ROM does are not very useful to me today.

It's the future, no company produces gaming GPUs anymore. Game developers now train recursive gamepad-to-real-time-video transformers on material annotated with gamepad directions, and they ship the models to the end-users that bought cheap outdated datacenter GPUs to run them.

A retro 2D platformer needs 48GB of HBM RAM and consumes 400W of electricity continuously. Sometimes a NPC realizes they're trapped in a simulation and the save file becomes corrupted.

Still obsessed with Big Walk music

All of this to masquerade IPv6 hahaha

There's a better way but that'll do for now

Plus de stickers tradi, j'ai essayé d'en faire certains en die cut avec un cutter.

More traditional stickers, I also tried to die cut some.

I'm still using iptables in big 2026 haha >_< I should learn the new thing some day…

Un autre set de stickers tradi (toujours fait à la main sur étiquettes vierges).

More precision: I bought an USB-C to magsafe adapter and it asked for the maximum tension so it fed 20V into the macbook instead of 15V, because my USB charger could do 20V (65W)

It worked fine and didn't heat up more than the usual, the sensor values were good so I thought it was ok.

Now it reports over-current in one USB port and the other one doesn't work anymore. It can't suspend because the USB driver is unhappy.

Kinda half-fried my (linux running) macbook air 2014 with an aliexpress device :(

I could have fixed it with a new motherboard (and it needed a new battery too) but at this point I just got a cheap used ThinkPad X390 and it's faster and has more RAM, ethernet, an LTE modem, more SSD…

Everything kinda worked out of the box too which is nice, and it is not bigger than the macbook air so it's great!

Thank you Polish refurbisher on eBay!

I was notified by @Kooda that you can use the H key to input a G#

Big Walk was neat

But I have Jumping Voices and the Radio: Lobby playing on repeat in my head now

I doesn't help that I carried the radio a lot

I would love to watch a 16 persons glitchless 100% speedrun

My little #CatJam thingie I wrote in #uxn! I call it done, at least for now; it's still a little rough though!

I was gonna go to bed after an unexpected all-nighter working on it (yeah totally unexpected, this never happens when I have deadline indeed) but I was scared I would miss the deadline so I posted it.
