Being a dad and wanting to know about my kid's day, I often try to ask her what she did in school, and as you may be guessing, she often replies "I don't know" or "nothing much". It's a bit frustrating, but you must understand that school is like our work, and we're asking them "how was work today" and they're replying just like we would. Work sucks.

And she loves her school. She'll tell me the games she played with her classmates, that stuff, but actual learning? bleh.
