I'm no expert, but I think I might need a new battery.
I was starting the truck and as soon as I turned the key, there was a loud bang! and an acrid smell. The truck still runs since it has four batteries, but I will have them all replaced tomorrow.
I was just looking at Framework laptops. I need a winning lottery ticket. Those things are really nice.
@the_etrain There's a burrito brigade here, they ride around and hand out burritos 🌯
A process server, but instead of court papers, they hand you a burrito.
TIL about nonce words. I like nonce words.
Anybody interested in a free ride in a helicopter, flight for 4 people?!
I'm still looking for 2 more people to join us. We leave early Saturday (October 24th) morning from Manchester and will fly to Poole in Dorset where we will have breakfast and then on a yacht for lunch.
Then we’ll have a flight to Jersey and return to Poole for dinner, then fly back home.
If interested please DM me. Preferably someone with a helicopter and yacht, otherwise we can't go.
There's only one way to find this place.
Today in Labor History October 13, 1157 BCE: The first recorded strike in history began in the Egyptian town of Deir el-Medina, when construction workers walked off the job 18 days after their payday had passed because they still had not been paid. They were under the employment of Pharaoh Ramses III. Their work consisted of building and decorating the royal tombs. The strike was recorded on a Papyrus that still exists.

Dude just can't get laid no matter how hard he tries.
Right so today the prime minister of the UK stood up on record and said the 2019 General Election was affected by Russian interference and that it is "inconceivable" that that was the first time.
We were calling this *at the time* and the UK security services came up with "we found no evidence cos we didn't look."
The Tories are in it up to their necks. Same with reform. Prosecute Conservative Friends of Russia, Farage, Cambridge Analytica and throw their asses in jail.

An Open Letter To The People Writing Lengthy Posts About 'Why I'm Going Back to Twitter'
Why are people still bitching about "both sides" as if we didn't have an election two years ago that proved how wrong that trope is? I understand being driven nuts by what is happening in the U.S. right now, and remembering that no past government had clean hands, but please. We know by vivid recent experience that one side is MUCH worse, and that the worse side can only get away with a lot of its shit because it also holds the legislature. We also should, if we're paying attention, know that there's more than one side, and that a few real progressives are running for Congress and other important offices. Despair is the enemy of progress. Buck up, read about all your local candidates and propositions, and save the fears for 2 a.m. like everyone else. #USPol
So my wealthy supermodel girlfriend whom I’ve never met stopped texting me. Thanks Zelensky. #Yandex
After three weeks of protest camps in the squares of Spain, the protesters have consistently maintained a cheerful and peaceful attitude in the different spanish squares.
This is despite frequent threats of violence from Nazi groups. The protesters have formed protective cordons to safeguard the camp and the other protesters.
Today, 12O, has been more tense than usual
I will explain the context in this thread.

I might be more inclined to harden my password game if the weak point in every single breach I've ever been exposed in wasn't the company on the other end of my login.
Total BS. This woman has been scrutinized her entire career & long before that. If she’d ever put a toe out of line, it wouldn’t have been these Keystone Kops who discovered it.

I'm not really a hardware guy. I still don't know exactly what went wrong or what the system did to repair it. But I'm glad things are working better now.
