What should I watch tonight?
Well that throws an unexpected wrench in my day.
Fun.
What’s the difference between a really strong weightlifter and a really, really, really strong weightlifter?
Repetitions.
A talking sheepdog rounds up all the sheep into the pen for his farmer. He comes back and says, “All 40 sheep accounted for.” The farmer says, “But I’ve only got 36!” The sheepdog replies, “I know, but I rounded them up.”
Saw some great rainbows
I spent most of the afternoon listening to music on my phone to soak test veilid streaming over mobile. It works, and didn’t have any issues.
Calling this one good enough and moving on. Should have a new Android build for internal testers later tonight or tomorrow morning!
I think I’ll go plug the phone in now…
Dad is getting a Linux computer. I’m so proud right now.
OH, shiz; MAYBE I end up working on my skin, but last night I asked @benbrown about a visualizer idea I had, and got a promise of assistive guidance
so that's gonna take priority
I really appreciate the sensibilities and goals @Wrewdison has for the project; playing music got folks in Winamp's door, and skins & plugins & cool visualizers kept folks using it. @veilamp recognizes and respects those facts.
A buddy of mine made a workout app for insects.
He never did work out the bugs, though.
@Wrewdison Boooo! BOOOOOoooooOOO!
What do you call rafting in a dry riverbed?
Ex-stream rafting!
Look beyond the straw man and it's promises
It’s the 31st anniversary of Hackers (1995) European release! In (some) cinemas in the UK today in the mid-90s.
They had limited screenings of it at The Point in Milton Keynes, which was my nearest ‘big’ cinema at the time.
My mum wouldn’t take me so I had to wait until it came out on VHS early the following year.
@cloudskater @Wrewdison WTF lol. File that under “I don’t recall asking for your opinion.” 😀
Early version of #Veilamp for Android is nice.
Connected to my server via server friend code. Streaming just fine on a Pixel 8 running Graphene.
Today I had to explain to a software engineer where packages for Linux distributions come from.

This is, of course, relevant to my interests.
And both @benbrown & @Wrewdison are aware.
