One more emotional marathon: finished pacing the Munich marathon à la 4:00.

Second time pacing the marathon in my city of adoption. Pacing a race gives you an unmatched sense of belonging and responsibility. There is something special when people thank you at the finish, saying they would not have done it if you weren’t there. Or all the runners you keep cheering while they are walking, and they joined you on the last kilometers.

I am glad I had the chance to pace it one more year.

Thanks to @lehtimaeki for tracking all those runs! In retrospective, those videos have helped quite a bit to see how I was performing while running mildly weird distances (yes, nobody runs an ultra at the beginning of January)
