WePayTheyProfit. Five oil giants are reporting around $56.3bn in profits while our bills climb. Tell Türkiye and Australia, who are co-hosting #COP31, to lead on phasing out fossil fuels and making polluters pay. https://act.350.org/sign/cop31
How are customer services so incompetent?
Called Vodafone earlier for a pay as you go SIM..
One of the verification questions to get into the account with the agent was what the balance was.. "20.46".
OK.. then ask the question about why roaming can't be enabled, then comes the answer. "Because you don't have any balance so the service is suspended".
um. Pointed out that to find the account she asked for the balance and it clearly isn't zero.
*sigh*
Eventually they undo whatever bug.
#uspol wow.. Texas went democrat.
I waste so much freaking time every day waiting for sodding “Magic Link” emails and stuff.
Just let me login with a bloody password and if you must some MFA that is integrated into a password manager and not some crap app.
Also, fuck off with passkeys.
I find streaming services (netflix, hbo, disney etc.) an affront to the senses.
A show ends, not even any time for the credits or silence, it moves onto the next episode.
There's no natural break for thinking about what you've just seen, for people to talk about the episode, grab a drink etc.
Well I guess I’ve reached full girl life status now.
Having had a “fun” encounter with a drink spiking on Friday night I can confirm it sucks.
Still, I’m the danger remember. 🤦♀️
Wow. The #Christmas decorations are already up around #GatwickAirport .
Especially frightening as the place was the kind that you order lots of side dishes etc. So over the entire order that adds up to a lot of extra cost!
I have never used #Deliveroo before.. tried it today.
Added a bunch of stuff to cart and then stumbled upon the restaurants own website for delivery. Every dish was around £1.50 to £2 lower cost on their website than Deliveroo.
Insane. I guess collective laziness wins and these intermediate companies profit.
Either Apple sleep tracking is nonsense or my body works on the opposite of the norm. Entirely possible the latter given everything else about me… but on the days I feel rough it says I had great uninterrupted sleep etc
When I feel fine it tells my score is low because of various reasons.
Services that send “magic links” instead of a sodding demand for a password suck. Absolutely suck.
#Ooctopus energy are really messing up recently.
Closed my account by mistake of one of their customer services agents.
Today I can't check what hours I get free energy as their website won't load my details.
Grr
Wild seeing how many websites have gone offline whilst they patch this PHP vulnerability. Meanwhile… my team were on it and I believe all of our stuff was updated and patched within a couple of hours, all whilst I was drinking cocktails to celebrate the life of someone who has now passed, just as he would have wanted.
IT really is a 24/7/365 affair and especially so these days. There’s always one more thing…
Another reminder for anyone who uses #ebay and doesn't want their personal data used to train ai:
I’m coming home babyyyyyy (to my spiritual home anyhow). Gonna smash some tunes out and give my friends every reason to bust some moves on the dancefloor. I am even gonna do some live mash ups for a bit of fun. What could possibly go wrong.
How does anyone do any work on a train? Train WiFi is unusable and mobile data is almost as bad.
#UK #PublicTransport
"The bandstand, which was built as a memorial to Covid-19 victims, cost £260,000 to construct."
How can it cost so much to build such a basic structure?
Am I really that out of touch on how much things cost to construct these days?
When your backup service gets their data encrypted.. oops!
