I hadn't realized until just now that Blacksky's Acorn project is named after the community in The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.

That's kinda amazing actually. And a testament to how far we have come as a "civilization" if it feels appropriate to name our new tech projects after the (temporary?!?) refuge of the protagonists in a dystopian hellscape.
