Jul 5, 2026, 2:31 PM@beyondexcess I don't have to learn Thai to reliably stay for the rest of my life. EU requires citizenship, which means a language.

@mwl Ah, yes, I see, good point. TH may have other requirements. Thai partner or work reasons, I'm told.

@beyondexcess yep, there's complications in folks staying. But the lower cost of living makes them much more surmountable.
