Added a --handoff option that can be used to replace the binary of the relre relay with a newer version without loosing the current flow, because cold restart causes the traction to get lost as the relay is marked as broken by the fediverse for some time when restarting.

I love watching the https://rel.re #activitypub #relay stats lol. They continously increase. At fresh start they are at like 1 inbox and 100 deliveries per second, now at 100 inbox and 8337 deliveries per second after running for a while, it really needs to warm up. Still not sure how it chills at like 1-10% cpu usage of one 4ghz core and 100MB RAM. I always thought rust was very performant aswell but they apparently cant beat goroutines. On aoderelay i would be using at least 3 cores 100% by now, possibly because the error handling is not the "yeah you failed 5 times, go to the ignore bench for a couple minutes" way like i handle it with the stale mechanism.

Added a response header size check and timeout so people cant send 5gb headers or shenanigans like that to the https://rel.re relay. Once had a funny guy redirecting his registered instance to ovh speed test causing my aoderelay to download the speed test file all the time. asonix fixed it quickly though.

I am pleasently surprised by how smooth https://rel.re is working, added a stale mechanism that puts instances on hold after x failed delivery attempts. Before removing after x days of unresponsiveness.

currently in the process of creating an activitypub relay that runs an in-memory sqlitedb that updates changes to disk every 5 seconds and on exit, that works with .onion mastodon instances via socks5 proxy, uses golang, supports authorative fetch, purges stale instances once a month and is really lightweight on cpu usage. I just now imported the aoderelay key and subscribers to it and it runs wild trying to deliver to dead instances but its barely using a single 4ghz core with 50 workers going wild.
