Reddit has made changes that specifically target apps like Tapestry, such as eliminating RSS feeds and other ways to generate feeds for subreddits.
We do not yet know if there will be a way around this, so we recommend either deleting your Reddit feeds or setting their refresh behavior to Disabled for now.

Oct 14, 2026, 3:26 PM@Iconfactory Reddit is a bad place now anyway. It’s a shame, it used to be a great place to get some information, and in some way it still is. I think their moderators are now all Ai, though.
@Iconfactory Reddit has gone downhill fast the last few years.
Oct 14, 2026, 3:49 PM@Iconfactory I wouldn’t expect any workarounds. Reddits demise started when they removed access for 3rd party apps and is now getting momentum going downhill…
Oct 14, 2026, 5:47 PM@Iconfactory I was wondering what happened and if they implemented their dropping of rss earlier than planned. Reddit is so frustrating.
@Iconfactory hoping to see a fediverse clone - or does Feddit already exist somewhere?
@shadowbottle @Iconfactory there's Lemmy which is something I plan to look into soon.
@bigzaphod @shadowbottle @Iconfactory checking out Lemmy now :)
Oct 15, 2026, 4:21 PM@Darrinsden @bigzaphod @shadowbottle @Iconfactory Piefed is a better version of Lemmy. Just putting that out there.
@Aaron @bigzaphod @shadowbottle @Iconfactory I have to agree :) even at first glance.
@Aaron @Darrinsden @shadowbottle @Iconfactory oh interesting - don't think Ive heard of this one. What makes it better?
@bigzaphod @Aaron @shadowbottle @Iconfactory I like the layout better but that won’t matter if it is pulled in via api
Oct 16, 2026, 2:56 AM@bigzaphod @Darrinsden @shadowbottle @Iconfactory For me it’s a nicer UI, supposedly has more features than Lemmy, and is under more active development. Still fully federates too!
@Aaron @bigzaphod @Darrinsden @Iconfactory Just coming back here to report that I'm really liking PieFed. I'm looking forward to more mastodon connectivity, but I'm fine setting up another account for it. Good stuff!
@Aaron @Darrinsden @bigzaphod @Iconfactory ooo, yeah looking over piefed it’s going masto compatible, is more social, has better discovery and moderation. Definitely looking more closely at PieFed thanks for the heads up!
@Iconfactory ugh that sucks hard. I love using Tapestry for reading Reddit but not surprised I they would take it away.
I hope someone comes with with a way to make it work, even if it's a one off.
@Iconfactory I wonder if it might be possible to allow us to log into our own Reddit account within #tapestryapp as we currently can with Mastodon and Bluesky accounts?
