It’s going to take a few more good coats to get that gold looking smooth.

Turned in my #1MillionMiniatures at our local store today. They very kindly counted my base coated work-in-progress and I hit my 50.
(That 100 was a total pipe dream once the freelance work kicked in 😒)
A bit of varnish and some basing and these fellas are done. Weathering can come later…

Picked up a new airbrush today, since I’ve forgotten everything I used to know. Something a little less fine detail, more general use, for practice.
I really like how a bit of stippled finisher gives the impression of heavier armour, it’s a nice texture. Should look good in yellow.
Bit of a chew though. Might keep it for the heavy tanks 😅
Our youngest has told me that they don’t believe I’ll be able to hit my target for the Million Miniatures event. Whilst I don’t particularly disagree, I’m turning the motivation dial up to 11 just to spite them.
“Gee I wonder why this isn’t spraying?” As I hoik a whackin-great chunk of dried primer out of my side-feed 😑

Took quite a while to put these fellas together - those shoulder pads are very fiddly for those of us with sausage-like fingers.
I get why they’re layered that way, but it’s quite difficult to get the two halves to line up without a big seam.

I ( @jonspark ) have been a #WarhammerCommunity hobbyist since the days of Goblin Green. I’ve been torn between a love of #ImperialFists and a pathological fear of painting yellow. This account is for a #HorusHeresy project to address both of those things.
I’m generally busy with the real world, but I’m hoping this, and the #1MillionMiniatures event, will help me to find more hobby time.
