I wonder what it is, a hacked door to Google, a local model trained on Google voices or something else?..

A new version of #PlanCake, my accessible #Markdown annotation tool for #Windows, is out.
In version 1.1, the two main changes are:
1. Now works from WSL and network shares natively. Add a shell function (available in the manual and in the repo README on GitHub), and you can do from your WSL:
`pk docs/plans/001-my-fancy-plan.md`.
That will open PlanCake in windows, you annotate as usual, and if your AI assistant changes something, the file reloads as it does on Windows.
2. Now you can set PlanCake as your application for opening .md and/or .markdown files.

I'm actually tempted by this thingy. did anyone dabble with #Accessibility for #ESP32?
Because this apparently needs saying today. It's not *anyone's* place to judge a person for using something like amazon or any other big company. it's even worse if you don't know someone's situation which could mean a lot of different things. I for one can't get into a car and drive so yeah, I use amazon when I need to so I can purchase whatever's necessary. If you think I'm some horrible person for doing so, that's fine, you can feel that way. I don't actually give a damn. You don't want to use Amazon or whatever the service is? Fine. Nobody's holding a gun to your head and making you, but you have *no* right to judge someone for something like using a service that actually allows them to be independent. If you think that's okay, then there's the door. Don't let it hit ya where the good lord split ya.

Muahahahaha!
Now announcing my new app, FastRoute. This one is a long time in the making. The idea of FastRoute is that you have sessions, and within these sessions you have different blocks that you can add, in any order you want, to send audio anywhere you like and process it however you like. This app is for Windows users, and is designed to create a similar ish experience to something like Audio Hijack from the Mac. Input blocks include things like input devices, applications, system audio (with exclusions support), internet streams. Effects include a 4 band parametric EQ, a 10 band EQ, channel mixer, pitch shifter, normalizer, compressor, and more. Outputs include output device, recorder, etc. FastRoute can also send and receive audio across the network, using it's net send/net receive blocks. We have our own protocol, but also support VBAN (VB Audio Network) protocol as well! This barely scratches the surface of the power of FastRoute, so check it out! https://github.com/masonasons/FastRoute/releases/tag/latest
#TIL I was today years old when I learned that you can actually share your iPhone screen including VoiceOver to Zoom in windows. To do that:
1. Join a Zoom meeting in Windows.
2. Press Alt+S or click the Screen Share button.
3. Select the Other tab. With screen readers, move to that tab in the tab list and press Enter, it doesn't get selected automatically.
4. from the list that appears, select "iPhone or iPad".
5. check the Share Sound checkbox, if you want this.
6. click Share.
7. On the iPhone (or iPad) from the Control Center select Screen Mirroring. If it's not there, select More Commands (or something like that, sorry, my iPhone is in French now) and add Screen Mirroring.
8. On that screen select "Zoom User".
9. If voiceOver sound doesn't come to your Windows Zoom meeting, you might need to reload VoiceOver.
10. Enjoy!

There are many amazing developers. there are many amazing blind developers. And thanks to #AI, even more blind developers can make their ideas a living product, and those who coded before AI, now can do it more quickly. Quinn, Aaron, Brian, Andre, Bryn, Allison, Jeff, Taylor and many many others (I don't tag you all so the thread doesn't become a huge mess). That post was inspired by last boost, Aaron's accessible Android emulator. Thank you for your work, thank you for existing and making this world a brighter and more accessible place to live. That's it, that's the post. #Accessibility #Gratitude
Russia has been blocking Signal/WhatsApp/Telegram and it has made VK's Max increasingly mandatory to reach govt services. We assumed it was a privacy nightmare, but InterSecLab brings the goods: https://interseclab.org/research/max/
Have an RTL-SDR dongle lying around, or ever been interested in Software Defined Radio (SDR)? Here is a quick demo of Airwaves, a command-line based receiver app I wrote this weekend.
It can play AM, shortwave, FM stereo with song info from RDS, the aviation band, and NOAA weather radio with alert decoding (for now). It also scans for stations and can cast to Sonos or AirPlay speakers.
Get it from GitHub: https://github.com/cartertemm/airwaves/
Looks like Envision is just about done. The post is to long to paste here so if interested go to https://www.letsenvision.com/blog/all-we-had-as-far-as-we-could
Unless Agiga has unlimited amounts of money behind themn, they could eventually suffer from the same fate.

This post right here is something a LOT of people should read. Then read again. Then read a third time.
In tomorrow's issue of The Guardian: "How your power company, phone carrier and neighborhood grocery store make money from Nazi newsletters". This is getting ridiculous. https://mastodontti.fi/@mhalila/117382332593562423
Authorities in Russia first warns citizens not to travel to Shelekhov because of the pneumonic plague outbreak from its biolab, then proceeds to delete the post to pretend it never happened.
This is the same Russia who claimed it had to invade Ukraine because of secret "biolabs", who now literally has the pneumonic plague spreading… from its own biolab.
Madness.
Is there an accessible jabber client yet that supports encription, voice and video?

Not me either. I'm a big optimist and proponent of the Internet and the Web in particular.
