Users of Accessible Auphonic can now check for updates.
For single track, batch and multi-track, you can now override the default folder for the output given in Options. Ideal for those people who like a separate folder for each project. Go to Help, Check for Updates.

Let's catch you up on what we've been preparing for the Leasey update on the 27th October as the list of changes has been significantly revised.
1. Leasey Word has received a lot of attention.
A. High quality voice dictation. Dictate documents, letters, anything you wish into Leasey Word. If necessary, JAWS can echo the text back as you do so.
Not only can you dictate into the application and receive an exceptionally high level of voice recognition, but you can use some voice commands to. Examples would be:

"Leasey Text" followed by its name, so as to recreate a text passage previously stored.
"Leasey Clip 1 through to 12", to reproduce one of the 12 Leasey Clips.
"Leasey Insert before and Insert after", to place the cursor where you need it to be, for example, "Leasey Insert After My Cat Is Good".
"Leasey Select", followed by text you wish to select, such as "Leasey Select It is a Very Good Day".
"Copy Document" copies the document to the clipboard.
"Forget It" erases the last phrase dictated.
Capitalise text in different ways.
Spell out phrases including Email addresses character by character.
A small number of commands to reproduce Markdown signs are also included for convenience.
There is a mode to dictate in both English and Spanish. This includes punctuation and individual dictated characters such as letters and numbers. Even the specific Leasey Dictated commands are available in Spanish. Switch between English and Spanish within a single phrase if you wish.
For example, you could say "Good morning, María", then continue "¿Cómo estás?".

It is strongly recommended that the lengthy documentation section in the use of dictation in Leasey Word is read in full.

B. Read Only Mode. This was a customer requested feature.
Press a keystroke to bring an extremely lengthy document into Read Only mode for faster navigation. Bookmarks and document notes are still available.
If you open the document a subsequent time, perhaps through File Explorer or Leasey File Manager, Leasey opens up the document using the preferred state.

C. Automatic numbering in text including Markdown.
When creating numbered lists, pressing Enter can cause Leasey to insert the next numbered item for you automatically.

D. Highlighting Text.
If a lecturer, tutor, student or colleague has marked important passages in a Word document for example, you can easily find such passages through a list or using quick navigation keys. You can also highlight text yourself so that passages can be visually identified. As you navigate the document, JAWS speaks the presence of visually highlighted text.

E. AutoCorrect is now available. It corrects commonly misspelled words. It is possible to add your own entries.

F. Opening.docs and PDF files is faster.

G. If you begin typing text in a document and then save, if the file extension is given Leasey now saves in the desired format. For example, if you end with a .docx extension Leasey saves it in Microsoft Word format.

2. Leasey Media Centre.
A. You can automatically create chapter marks in audio files stored on the computer, not just podcasts. Ideal if you have a large MP3 file requiring section divisions. Leasey can analyse the file and create the chapter marks for you.
Previously you could create chapter marks manually, but Leasey will now take its best guess as to where the divisions should be.
Ideal for lecture recordings.

B. It is now possible to browse through radio station categories in Radio Browser and podcast categories by country.
Both of these have been implemented in a way Leasey users would expect, such as by pressing Enter to open a category and Escape to go back. There is nothing difficult about this.

C. When you enter a podcast feed, and return to it at a later date, focus is at the point in the list where you left off reading.

3. ChatGPT.
The highly accessible ChatGPT interface has been completely re-designed.

A. JAWS no longer uses the results viewer to display the text. We have our own interface to render it, including headings, tables, etc.

B. You do not have to dismiss the viewer when you start the next interaction. You can continue to see all of the conversation as it evolves. If you do want to see just one element of it, find it from the new list box, press Enter, and there it is.

C. The conversation can easily be exported to a text file or Word document.

D. You can quickly read the most recent 10 messages with keystrokes, similar to how we work with WhatsApp.

E. We are now using ChatGPT6. All the previous functions still exist, such as our library of pre-prepared prompts in ChatGPT Tools and the ability to save and load conversations.

4. Outlook attachments list.
When an image is focused, a button is available so as to perform Picture Smart.

5. Starting Leasey Texts is slightly faster.

6. Leasey Sports and Games has been completely re-designed.
Hockey joins the line-up. Find fixtures, check live scores and follow games automatically, using the same familiar controls as the other sports.

Follow up to ten games from different sports together. Previously, all monitored games had to belong to the same sport. Now you can follow baseball, basketball, cricket and hockey at the same time. Monitoring is greatly improved and is especially noticeable in tennis games where results are given far more frequently.

Set up monitoring before a game begins. Found a game you want to follow later today? Add it in advance. With the application left running, Leasey waits until its scheduled start time before checking it and tells you when play is reported.

Keep all your monitored games in one convenient list. Each entry identifies the sport and the teams. Games in progress appear first, with waiting games organised by their starting dates and times.

Press Enter for more detail. Select a monitored game and press Enter to read its score, stage of play, elapsed time or game clock, and other available information. Press Escape to return to your place in the list. The details available vary by sport.

Manage your games more easily. Pause your monitoring and resume it later, or remove one game while continuing to follow the others. The removal confirmation names the teams so you can check your choice.

Catch up on announcements you missed. Announcement history lets you review recent score updates and confirmations, rather than relying on hearing each message as it arrives.

A dedicated Windows application, designed around JAWS and the keyboard. Use familiar lists, edit fields and buttons. Press Insert+F1 for help with the control you are using, or open Leasey Command Centre to find an available command.

Keep the app hidden away wwhile you carry out other work and still have the scores reported. Braille support is always available.

Full documentation available of course.

7. LeaseyCuts.
When typing in one of the lists, it is now possible to include Spaces so as to find a complete cut by name.

8. Leasey File Manager.
Leasey can now obtain the properties of a drive in an accessible way, in the same way as we do with files and folders. This includes used space and free space.

The new update should be available on or around 27 October.

Did you know? A small number of features in the upcoming #PresentAble application rely upon AI. An API key is required from Open AI.

The documentation does explain at length how to obtain an API key. We do not expect you to know how to obtain one.
However, if you are already using ChatGPT with Leasey, you need do nothing further. An API key already stored in Leasey automatically carries over to PresentAble.

To be clear, PresentAble is a standalone application. Leasey is not required to use it. But if you do have Leasey, you have a small advantage there, particularly if Hartgen Consultancy has already donated to you a ChatGPT API key.

The Ultimate Guide to StationPlaylist publication date is 5 October 2026. We are just waiting to include changes of the upcoming release of the StationPlaylist products in the book. With any luck those details will be available by then, but that will be the publication date as there are other major projects which need to be completed before Christmas.

An update to the Zoom scripts is available.
1. Upon further updates, user preference settings should no longer be disrupted.
2. On some machines, when sharing screens the scripts were not active. Even the JAWS default Zoom scripts are not active in such situations. This should be corrected.

Leasey did you know? If you do not know how to use a Leasey feature, use Quick Steps.
Press the Leasey key then Q and ask questions like this.
I am listening to a podcast and it has no Chapter Marks so it is difficult to navigate between sections. How can I get Leasey to create chapter marks?

Answer.
Step 1. Start playing a podcast episode.

Step 2. Pause the audio by pressing Space on the Play/Pause Button in focus.

Step 3. Press Control+Shift+L. Leasey will offer to create suggested chapters if no chapters exist. Press Enter or Space on the "Yes" Button which is in
focus.

Step 4. Leasey will analyze the transcript and bring back suggested chapters. If you have already done this once, the results will immediately be displayed.

Step 5. Press the Tab key to reach the "Make Permanent" Button and press Enter or Space if you want Leasey to write the suggested chapters into the MP3
file metadata. After this, they will be permanent Leasey chapters and can be edited or removed.

You can use the Up and Down Arrow keys to review the suggested chapters, and press Enter on a chapter to move directly to that position in the audio. If
you do not make the chapters permanent, you can still navigate using the temporary suggested chapters while the episode is loaded.
