I never did an actual #Introduction for myself. Or if I did it was a year ago and I forgot. Anyway, hi, I'm Nix. I like cats, vinyl, lego, Subarus, weed, computers, boobs, and loud music. I've lived in DC then NOVA then Tucson then RVA then NOMD and now back to the DC area. I've been married to the same lucky dude since 2009. We live in a postage stamp house with 2 cats, a fish, and a furry barrel with legs we call a dog. I run half a mile five days a week. I manage the home office of a large NFP. I eat too much candy. I love grassy perfume. I'm allergic to pretty much everything, am lactose intolerant, and have both crohns and IBS. Also fibro. And anxiety. I love closeup pictures of things.

There are two Ai generated commercials currently airing that particularly piss me off (I hate them all, really.). One is a moving company advertising itself as some sort of patriotic superhero to help our nations heroes. The other is an app where you play games to earn gift cards. I noticed a watch change arms in one and was curious how bad they both are so started pausing and taking notes.

Buckle in.

First, the moving company. The ad opens with a generic white couple on a couch looking concerned while looking for moving companies. He's on a laptop, she's on her phone. At first glance it's fine. Then you look at his shirt. One side has 5 buttons. They are all different and not spaced remotely evenly apart. The other side has no button holes but does have a single button. It eventually shifts to a collage of supposed company employees including a man with his top jaw split in half. Where it tried to give him a gap between his front teeth, it took the gap the entire way up. It ends with the couple now looking happy. She has a new shirt on but his is still wrong, but in different ways. The buttons are now on the other side. The single opposing button is gone. Still no button holes.

Next, the games app. It opens with two women chatting about one woman's new watch. First it shows her with a round watch on her left arm. The third time we see her the watch has moved to her right wrist and is now square.

They wouldn't be so fucking irritating if they weren't trash. Bad photoshopping is still universes better than this shit.
