C’mon Labs, somebody buy Arc and show us that keeping it alive and beloved for years to come is “easy”
Oct 23, 2026, 7:34 PM@jimniels can it be that they vibecoded so hard last years turning their product into a piece of trash impossible to sell and too shameful to make it open source?
GNU/Knoppersgnuplusknoppers@troet.cafeOct 23, 2026, 8:15 PM@tk @jimniels I think they build Arc on TSA, which I understand is not popular anymore or has some problems with scaling to larger projects (not a Swift programmer myself so idk) and the way they did the Windows version, sort of trying to rewrite parts of SwiftUI so that it works with WinUI seems to be very labour intensive for very little gain (the Windows version of Arc was very late, missed most of the features and was very buggy).
