My wife asked why I use cotton swabs for #FountainPen ink swatching rather than brushes. The main reason is that using Q-Tips means I don’t have to clean out a brush after every swatch, but to be honest I also enjoy the debris it creates:

Photo shows two metric poop tons of used cotton swabs, resting on a heavily stained white cotton beach, in the middle of a wooden ocean. I should point out that the cotton swabs were dipped in fountain pen ink, and were definitely not used to clean unicorn ears.
