When King Charles picked his king name, did he know about the spaniels? I feel like somebody should have told him about the spaniels because every time I read his name that's what I think of, not the human king, and it makes it very hard to take the human king's pronouncements seriously. They all come out of this floofy little critter.

@silvermoon82 his whole family like doggos, they were the favourite pet of the previous King Charles which is how they got their name (although they have Asian ancestry!)

I knew about the Queen's thing for corgis, didn't know it's the whole family.
I'm just more a dog person than a Royals person, I guess, so I associate the name with the dogs first.
