Very cool render of the upcoming West Seattle light rail line.

I'm so glad they scrapped the super-deep Junction station design; that would have been a momentous generational mistake, and the city would have paid for it for the next hundred years.

Also glad they avoided the surface-level tracks that involved demolishing entire neighborhoods of housing; raised track + shallow tunnel leaves it grade-separated over the entire run.

Anyway, mistakes avoided, the final route and design makes a ton of sense to someone who lives in the area. Let's go, get building!
