Was wandering through historic properties in 2012 with a friend and saw this. Hmmm...peut-etre some moules et frites? A Flemish red? Chocolate???!!! So we walked inside and waited. And waited. It had another room as a dining room, so we peeked inside. Rien. We called out, rang the bell. As we were looking around the corner to see if someone was in the kitchen, we saw a set of keys on the floor. What if we called the store number? Rien.

Do we just leave an empty...

An image of a very pretty sign hanging over a business door. It reads:

...store, with keys on the floor?

We think someone really had a bad day and had had enough.

So we called the police. One might think that would be easier than one might think.

But no. They took the report then they wanted someone to stay. My fellow and I had been visiting for the day and had to head back up to the north of the province, so friend shooed us, he'd wait.

The police showed up about 30 min later?

Anyway, the store was gone when next we visited.

@CStamp You should have taken one of the enchanted items that always seem to be found in places that just appear and disappear like that.

@roknrol LOL. I was sorry tempted to help myself to a truffle, which were just sitting there in their display case, tempting me, with no one to part me from my money for a few.

@CStamp There's about an 80% chance that it would have carried with it a curse that would have spelled your doom.

    DOOOM!

@CStamp Nothing that I'm seeing locally, but I'm pretty rural and the only school in town is elementary age.
