It's a rugged take on a mountain brook I saw a few autumns ago on a hike.

I carved a handful of lines and used wax resist (that lets the stoneware body show) to make the glazes break and pool in flowy blues and golds. I also used paddling (i.e., I thwacked it 😜) to give the wheel-thrown piece an organic, rock-like shape.
