Quite possibly the most annoying thing any team can do is to hijack standard terminology to mean something totally different. Or worse, something totally incoherent.

The cognitive dissonance when this happens is huge. Doubly so when the meanings are not even documented, and people just “know” 🤯

Software is a *team game*, which means clear communication is key. And never forget the customer is a critical part of the team.
