Gosh I am really grumpy about this today.
I know people make choices that make their lives easier as individuals but wow just imagine what we could achieve as some of the best tech minds that exist, if we just stuck together, unionised, kept to our morals.
I've met the people that run the big multi billion companies. They're really not that smart. Our indifference as a community in not doing action but shouting about it instead is part of the whole downfall of what we're witnessing in tech.

I'm just so sick of people in tech being against something when it doesn't affect them but when it does they make excuses to stay with it. The virtue signaling pisses me off.
I left twitter the second Elon bought it and saw so many stay. Likewise I see so many shouting about privacy then staying with something like this.
I've lost £$000,000 sticking to my morals in tech with who and what I work for, use, buy. I wish people would just stand by their morals even when it's inconvenient.

@Thayer Tech seems to be galloping headlong towards its 'Oppenheimer Moment' but without an Oppenheimer to say what needs to be said here.
(There was a good article on this subject back in the day, but I can't find it for trying)
