@computersandblues Agreed about PSU — looks like it is some kind of cheap PSU:
1) Transformer for lowering AC voltage.
2) The U2 chip (on the foreground left) possibly a diode bridge or a more sophisticated AC-DC converter (less likely)
3) On the small green board the U1 chip looks like a DC-DC convertor
P.S. Lol, the R7 (near the U2) factory "soldering" is funny :drgn_blush_giggle: Pick-n-place failed :drgn_blush_giggle:
I suppose it is safe not to connect this device to power source but scavenge it for working parts :drgn_wrench: I see zero fuses on the photo and a thick-ass resistor behind the transformer — to transform unused power to the heat? :drgn_think_confused: And R7 not soldered completely :drgn_shocked:
