Oh wow, I wasted an entire afternoon trying to figure out why Caddy would not issue a wildcard certificate...

All because I got confused and typed ${ENV_VAR} instead of {$ENV_VAR} in my Caddyfile... Making matters worse, I previously filtered Caddy's logs, which meant I did not see why it was failing in the first place.
