I'm adding captions (a vtt file) to a video in Wordpress. It shows nicely in the preview, but when I look at the published page, in Firefox the player indicates that there are subtitles, but they aren't actually shown. In Chromium, the indicator isn't even there. Anyone who have an idea what might be going on?

@TheDJ Ok, But the wordpress edit track dialog only has fields for label, soruce language and type. Where would I set this?

You can probably also fix it by configuring the static server with the media resources, to set the CORS headers to allow the origin of the website explicitly.
Is this self hosted, or a provider?

@TheDJ I contacted the support, and they escalated it to the Senior technical team. So clearly something odd in the setup. But am I also their first customer adding captions to a video? That is kind of bleak.
@TheDJ I added it to the track element by editing the html, but that doesn't seem enough.
