Canaanite Ivory Comb (1700 BC) discovered at Tel Lachish, Israel.

It is inscribed with the oldest known sentence written in the earliest Canaanite alphabet, which translates to: "May this tusk root out the lice of the hair and the beard".

The comb measures roughly 3.5 by 2.5 centimeters and originally featured fine teeth for removing lice on one side and wider teeth on the other.
