I could of course be wrong but it seems unlikely.

Either way the he comes off as someone reading a political speech. That is not a wrong thing to do but it's not nearly as powerful as the same message conveyed in a way more like he would with friends or family.

This is where the hour with a comms pro would be good. Find words he's more comfortable with and make him more comfortable with the situation.
